Turn Down the Amount of Email You Get from Facebook Quickly

To quickly turn down the amount of individual emails Facebook sends and get digests of notifications instead (except for important messages such as payment confirmations, which will still be sent, of course):
1. Click the down triangle in your Facebook's top right corner.
2. Select Account Settings from the menu.
3. Open the Notifications section.
4. Make sure Send me important updates and summary emails instead of individual notification emails is checked under Email Frequency
