How to remove write protection from a usb flash drive


While using computer we regularly face some kind of problem. These are of many kind, by which we gets irritates. On these problem one is of "Write Protected". Write Protected problem usually occurs when you connect any memory card or any USB flash drive and try to send or copy some data on to it.

There is a message popup comes saying that " Cannot copy XXX: The disk is Write Protected, Remove the Write Protection or use another disk."
Some other message you gets are, cannot copy files and folders, drive is write protected, cannot format the drive, remove the write protection or change the media file. So these are some of the common error message that we usually gets.
So here I will tel you how to solve this problem with a simple registry file.

Just follow the simple steps.:
Open Start Menu >> Run (CTRL+R), type regedit and press Enter. This will open the registry editor.
Navigate to the following path:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\StorageDevicePolicies

Double click the key WriteProtect in the right pane and set the value to 0
In the Data Value Box, press OK
Exit Registry, restart your computer and then re-connect your USB pen drive to your computer.
